Flat sheet liner installation guide
- Check excavation for any sharp objects and remove if necessary.
- Install appropriate liner protection e.g. geotextile / sand layer base.
- Lay liner at one end of pond and unroll liner through length of pond.
- Fold back the 'leaves' of the liner. When ends of liner are exposed, pull liner out, flipping it slightly so as to create air under liner. It will float into place across area of the pond.
- Form liner into shape then fill with water ensuring liner fits snugly to contours of excavation without being under tension or excessive stretching.
- When full with water, trim off excess liner leaving sufficient around the top for anchoring.
Under no circumstances should the liner be under tension at this stage as it will affect its life expectancy.

| 7) Fill with water steadily, not forgetting to adjust blocks around the top to compensate for adjustment in tension. We recommend that you don't leave the pond for long periods of time in order that you can keep an eye on the tension of the liner as it fills. Under no circumstances should any part of the liner be under excessive tension at this stage. | ||
| 8) When full, anchor the edges permanently. | ||
