Box welded liners
Many of our clients request a box liner because of its unique tailored fit which eliminates unsightly folds. It also limits bacterial build-up which can occur behind folds in the liner.
At QBS Ltd, we specialise in the manufacture of bespoke box welded and tank liners for use in the commercial, domestic and leisure industry. We can manufacture Butyl linings for most applications from simple small rectangular and square shapes to more complex designs requiring shelves, steps or sumps. Most designs can be manufactured in our workshop from measurements or patterns supplied by the customer. For the more complex designs, we can provide an on-site construction service.
All our tank and box-welded liners come with a flange or lip for securing the liner. This will be a minimum of 100mm (4") unless otherwise stated or requested and this service is FREE OF CHARGE. By having a flange fabricated during manufacture, this enables quick and easy installation and eliminates the need to cut the liner at time of fitting. caption: picture of flange with corners welded in.
The advantages of a box-welded liner as opposed to a flat liner are:-
- Quick and easy to install
- No unsightly folds of liner (folds not sealed back can create pockets of unfiltered water).
- Life expectancy of material enhanced due to lack of tension/stretching.
- Custom-made to your exact requirements
As with all Butyl liners either flat or box welded, there are no problems installing inlet/outlet pipes, bottom drains and skimmers. Tank connectors are readily available in various sizes for pipe returns and if required, we can supply manufactured Butyl sleeves.
All our fabricated liners are supplied by mail order within seven working days for DIY self fit. Alternatively, we can offer an installation service if required.
